The Cabin – Beach House Showcase Film
A cinematic portrait of architecture, lifestyle, and the Western Australian coastline.
For this project, a beach house on the Western Australian coast became the subject of a new kind of narrative. One that borrowed tone and pace from the elegance of Long Island, New York, and grounded it in the texture and light of the Indian Ocean.
Barbitta was engaged to concept, produce, and deliver the campaign film. The brief was not to sell a house, but to create a world around it. One that speaks to aspiration without artifice, and luxury without distance.
Guided by the Story, Atmosphere, and Form tiles of the Barbitta Mosaic™, the narrative was built as a cinematic day-in-the-life. A classic Jaguar E-Type from Barbagallo set the tone, acting as a character in its own right. The film follows a couple along the coastline, through shifting light and quiet moments, arriving to a Webb & Brown-Neaves home not just to a structure, but to a life imagined.
Styling, casting, and location direction were all managed by Barbitta, ensuring aesthetic consistency and narrative clarity. Filming and editing favoured a considered pace, letting architectural lines breathe, letting ocean light do the work.
The final result is a film that repositions the display home as something more than a space to view. It becomes a story to step into, where architecture and emotion meet.
