Alder Brand Launch
A crafted narrative of form, function, and everyday design.
Founded in 1982, Alder has built a legacy of innovation and intent, creating tapware where design is not separate from life, but integral to it. As the brand looked to refine its positioning, a new vision emerged: Life’s better with Alder. A statement not of slogan, but of belief.
Barbitta was engaged to support the rollout of this repositioning, working across brand strategy, creative direction, and launch communications. Central to this was the development of a flagship video, a visual statement piece designed to bring Alder’s values to life with clarity and emotional tone.
Filmed and directed by Barbitta, the video combines product cinematography with behind the business sequences and subtle movement. Guided by the Story, Form, and Meaning tiles of the Barbitta Mosaic™, the pacing, composition, and movement were all considered in service of the brand’s renewed focus. A film not just about product, but about presence.
The visual language blends architectural framing with natural gestures, elevating the role of tapware from hardware to experience. Typography and motion were integrated with restraint, acting as subtle cues rather than leading characters.
The final film launched alongside Alder’s rebrand, setting the tone for its future communications and helping shape how the next generation will come to know the brand.
